Send a document for e-signature

Choose signers and signing order, place fields, and get a signed copy with a certificate of completion.

Updated September 24, 2026

E-signatures are included on every plan. The document needs to be on the transaction first.

Send it

  1. In the Signatures card, click Send for signature, or use the pen icon on a required document.
  2. Choose the Document.
  3. Tick the Signers (parties with an email, or Someone else), up to 12, and give each an order from Signs #1 to #5. People with the same number sign at the same time, and lower numbers sign first.
  4. Add an optional Message and click Next: place fields.
  5. Click Place on signature lines to drop fields onto each signer's lines automatically, or add Signature, Initials, Date, Checkbox and Text fields yourself: click the page to place, drag to move, drag the corner to resize, press Delete to remove.
  6. Click Send for signature.

What signers see

Each signer gets a private link by email, with no account needed. They adopt a signature by typing, drawing or uploading it, agree to use electronic records and signatures, and click Finish. They can also decline.

Following up

  • Use Remind next to whoever's turn it is. Reminders to signers are sent by you, not automatically.
  • Void cancels the request, and its links stop working.

When everyone has signed, download the Signed copy. It includes a Certificate of Completion listing each signer, when they signed and from which IP address, with a link to verify the document hasn't been changed. The matching required document is marked Signed.
